ShowStopper- The Improvised Musical

Randomness

The show that has received an Olivier Award!

So, let me start by saying that this musical is like watching a stand-up comedian, in the sense that there is interaction with the audience, laughter, accents and the cast laughing with you. The night I saw this, the audience decided that the setting was to be based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary, with American, Canadian and French accents, Richard III, Shakespeare and William the Conquer involved, a love story that involved the whole cast and finally, with classic musical influences such as music from Avenue Q and Bugsy Malone, with a twist that the cast made the words up on the spot.

The cast on the night was made up of 7 members all listed above that were all equally as talented as each other. Making up songs, the story line prompted by the audience and the narrator and trying to make it funny, with innuendos and costumes.

Hosted by the Curve Theatre in Leicester, made it the perfect setting for the perfect story line. For one night only! For more information regarding the musical go online http://www.showstopper.org or visit @showstoppermusical. Go and be inspired!
